We finally made it to Chicago in about 16 hours. Aunt Jill had a party at her house where we were so lucky to see lots of family that we haven't seen in a very long time! Time sure does creep up on us so fast! Amongst the food and family Ben and Dalon got some much needed bike riding in.

The beginning of our 46 plus hour drive...

We decided to take a road trip adventure that lasted over 46 hours in the stinkin' car! What an awesome family bonding time! Ben is an absolute HORRID car passenger... we started out driving to St. Louis. (10ish hours from Dallas)

Happy Father's Day to the best Dad ever!

Why has it taken so long to post Father's Day photos? I couldn't find my camera anywhere! It turns out it was in Nolan's closet!? Better late than never....

3rd row GREAT seats!

Chris hosted a couple members in the band earlier in the day and took them golfing. To say thanks, they gave us concert tickets with backstage passes. Not only did we have amazing seats, after the show we went backstage and "hung out" with the band for an hour and a half in their tour bus!! It was so cool. They are all super nice guys & it was a great show. (no cameras were allowed in the back, I did not think to get our picture with them before hand! :(

Baylie is still at girls camp. It has been a long week without her! :( Looks like she is having fun though. The camp leader sent these to me to help with my child withdrawl. She gets home Saturday.

kindergarten graduation!

For the end of the year teacher gift, the parents bought a charm bracelet for Mrs. Turnage and the studente each picked out a charm to put on it. It turned out super cute.

This is the WORST, shakey video ever. Let me just say I did not video, and the person with the camera is never allowed to touch it again! :) (I still love you honey!xoxox) Watch how weird Nolan's facial expressions are... is he trying not to cry? All of the songs were SUPER sad. I have cried at all of my children's milestones...you'd think I would be happy for them to move on. Nope- I am selfish and want them to stay little forever. This one was really hard for me, it was my last kindergarten graduation for one of my own kids. SO SAD.

Nolan's Westlake Academy Commendation Award

Nolan was chosen to receive a commendation award for being an inquirer and for being a principled person in Kindergarten. The mayor of the town of Westlake and the Headmaster of the school presented it to him on the last day of school. His teacher had this to say, "Nolan has grown into a model student in his very first year of "big kid" school. He has a natural curiosity that he has worked hard to focus that curiosity into independently researching different topics. He even wrote a book about his findings to share with the class. He is a student that others can count on to make the right decisions and to help everyone feel included. I am thrilled that Nolan was in our class this year!"
